Chateau Gruaud Larose 1995

Rich and woody, Chateau Gruaud Larose 1995 (Saint-Julien, Bordeaux) is deep ruby/brick showing thick glycerin, with aromas of sweet perfumed cassis, fine oak and faint musk/underbrush, with rich round tanins on the attack, good balance, concentrated but heavy on the oak, a soft mid palate with flat fruit ending in a big long finish. Drink now + 5 years. Score 16/20. Hogi Hyun, 17 Sep 05.
