Elegant but tanic, the Chateau Cantenac Brown 1996 (Margaux, Bordeaux) is light ruby, showing classic aromas of leather, oak and cassis, followed by a mouthful of ripe red fruit, medium body and firm tanins that mar an otherwise elegant finish.
